The first time, when I encountered these neatly folded cardboard boxes, all accurately position in one line, was in a narrow, neon-green illuminated underpass for pedestrians, while beeing on my way to a cheap hotel. At first I was not fully aware of what I saw and was just fascinated by the collection of cardboard boxes.

A closer look revealed immediately that the cardboard boxes were empty houses, sleeping boxes for so called homelesse people. I was fascinated and moved by the arrangement, the foldings, the stacking and the organization of the few belongings, so that they would not disturb anyone during the day.

Everything looked well organized and very much thought through. – The daily routine was noticeable. So I started to look for other home-structures and after some time I could sense what places could be suitable.Only very seldom I encountered the inhabitants.
